Attorney Fidaa Elaydi: Putting Experience and Passion to Work for You

Attorney Fidaa Elaydi has been practicing immigration law for over 5 years. She is licensed to practice in Illinois, has earned her Federal General Bar admission to the Northern District of Illinois, and is registered to practice in the Executive Office for Immigration Review.

Fidaa, who is fluent in Arabic, has worked at both non-profit organizations and private firms to serve the legal needs of immigrants.  She has a passion for assisting this often marginalized group. Fidaa is a fierce advocate with a keen legal mind capable of finding creative approaches to best represent your case in the most compelling manner. She is proficient in many matters of immigration, particularly asylum, family-based petitions, renewal and replacement applications, naturalization, and VAWA.

She has a background in international law and human rights law and focuses her practice on asylum law. With extraordinary writing and research skills, she can supplement your case with supporting evidence to ensure the asylum officer processing your case has a full picture of the persecution you face in your home country. Cases prepared by Fidaa are exhaustive and thorough, providing asylum officers with all the relevant information they need to process your case. Fidaa understands how anxious you are to have your case processed as quickly as possible and will promptly and efficiently work with you to submit your case expeditiously.

As the daughter of immigrants, Fidaa understands the precarious nature of being in between immigration statuses and the anxiety that instability can cause. Fidaa views the attorney-client relationship as sacred and always puts her clients first. She is detail-oriented, organized, and goes to great lengths to ensure the cases of her clients are expertly prepared.

Fidaa graduated magna cum laude from Texas Christian University with a bachelors degree in political science and sociology, and cum laude from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, a top-tiered law school. In law school, she was the recipient of the Sarah T. Hughes full-ride scholarship and the coveted Collins Clerkship. She was a senior law review editor and moot court brief writer and oralist. She served as president of the Human Rights Legal Association and vice-president of the Muslim Law Student Association.
